FAQ

When should I book my newborn session

Ideal time to book is while you are pregnant, to ensure that your bundle of joy's session occurs the first 2 weeks.

Why do sessions take place in the first two weeks?

The reason why we prefer to have the session in the first two weeks is because babies tend to still be quite sleepy and flexible, which is the ideal time for wrapping and posing little ones.

How long do sessions go for?

Newborn sessions are the longest sessions I offer, as it will depend on how settled the little one is. Sessions can last up to 4 hours, however I do aim for less time required, but will need to play by ear on the day.

Can siblings / parents / pets be included in the session?

Yes! There is a package option to include family members as part of the newborn shoot, have a look my packages on the investment page.

My baby is already born, can I still book a session?

This will be dependent on my appointment availability, but I will do my best to fit you in. Please contact me and we can sort from there.

My baby is older than two weeks, can I still have a newborn session.

Absolutely I can photographer older newborn? It will just mean that there will be minimal posing as the baby will be less flexible. But rest assured you will still receive beautiful images of your little bundle!

What happens if my baby is unsettled?

Babies can be unsettled for a range of reason, whether it's wind, colic, or unknown reason. Do not worry if your baby is unsettled, this happens often and is not uncommon. If the your little one does not settle or becomes unsettled part way through the session, we can schedule a reshoot for another date.
